What is Artist Connect?

Artist Connect is a networking app that allows users to create a profile to hire or sell services in the creative industry.

What makes Artist Connect different from other networking apps?

While other music networking apps allow you to find people to potentially work with, Artist Connect promotes and helps manage your work as a creative to people who are looking for someone just like you.

Using our patent pending “OVR” system just like a credit score, we use several factors to automatically rank you higher in search results each time you get paid through the Artist Connect app.

What is the OVR system?

Instead of looking only at “subjective” star/number ratings and reviews, Objective Value Ranking or “OVR” is a new patent pending system that uses a unique algorithm that determines your “objective” value among others in the app within the same artistic field and then ranks you higher or lower in search results based on that value.

Some factors are..

1. How many different users paid you for services in your artistic field.

And..

2. How many times you were re-hired and paid by the same people for services in the same artistic field.

The more you work in the app, the more Artist Connect will show you on top when it comes to reliability and experience to the very people looking for your kind of talents to hire 24/7.

How much does the app cost?

The app is free to use for both sellers and buyers. Artist Connect only charges a 7% booking fee to sellers for each transaction.

What are the benefits for me as a seller?

Artist Connect keeps a record of all the jobs you do as a creative, all the agreements you made with your clients, and their related receipts.

It also boosts you up in rank across the country to all users of Artist Connect every time you do a job, thereby increasing your potential for new clients when they look for someone in your field.

Artist Connect also allows you to hold a deposit from a client before you start the job or lock in a date. We hold the money until both you and the buyer agree the job is complete through the app.

If the buyer cancels on you in a way that violates any agreements they made with you in the app in regards to the related job, you can keep the deposit.

What about users who have paid me outside of the app?

Artist Connect can only mark those transactions that have gone through the app platform. By making sure everyone pays you through the app you constantly improve and maintain your rank and reliability among those in your creative field, bringing you more opportunities and increasing your potential workflow.

What’s the benefit of having a profile if I’m not an artist?

Aside from being able to quickly hire an artist for an event or other job, You also build up your hiring statistics each time you successfully pay an artist for a service in the app. Artists will likely look at your hiring stats when they only have the time to choose one job over the other and pick the user who has hired more users in the app.

As a buyer, what if the seller doesn’t deliver? Can I get a refund?

We escrow deposits. This way when you agree to start a job with a seller after you pay a deposit the money is held until both parties agree the job is complete. If the Seller cancels, becomes unresponsive, or we determine they have never provided the service, you will receive a full refund.

How do I know my payments are secure and my information is safe?

Our payment gateway is powered by Braintree™ a PayPal™ company which also powers other major apps in the market today. Artist Connect does not store any banking information.

How do I know users I contact are really who they say they are?

Users have to go through several verification steps in order to make a profile. For sellers this includes a background check.
